As I do every year with my family, we went apple picking! This is one of my favorite yearly traditions. One of the perks is coming up with new recipes to use with all the apples! When you go to an apple orchard, there is often a little shop with little seasonal trinkets including jams, butters, chutneys, etc. I had a jonesing for pork chops and knew I had to make them with some of these crisp, fresh apples we just picked! You can use any variety of apples you like. I used Macintosh, Fuji and Golden Delicious.

FUN FACT: Did you know that the first apple orchard originated in Boston wayyyyyy back in the  1600’s???
