Peanut butter cups are a childhood favorite of mine, especially the homemade peanut butter cup bars my mom used to make my sister and I. I remember opening the refrigerator and being so excited she made them and then devour them! Well, my toddler has inherited my sweet tooth as well as love for peanut butter so I wanted to give her the same yummy treat my mom used to give me! I kept the idea but decided to change it up a bit and make it a bit healthier, especially since she is still very young and I don’t particularly want her having so much sugar. I used quick oats to create the “cup” part of the peanut butter cup.
FUN FACT: I’m a big fan of natural peanut butter as the only ingredients are peanuts and salt. Peanut butter has about 8 grams of protein. Did you know your hair and nails are made of protein?
